In almost every tank and plant construction, individualized tanks and process vessels specially adapted to the plant are used. They are designed to meet the requirements of the customer and the plant (stainless steel tanks as buffer storage, stirring tanks, storage tanks, silo tanks) in terms of volume, material (stainless steel pressure vessels, steel tanks, PVC tanks, concrete tanks, plastic tanks) and surface quality. In the case of the stainless steel agitator tank, for example, it also depends on what is inside.

Tank and apparatus engineering for all industries

Stainless steel containers, for example, which are to be used as food containers, place different demands on tank and container construction and plant and equipment manufacturers than those which do not have to be food-grade, for example in chemical plant construction. Fermentation tanks and mixing tanks have different requirements than stirred stainless steel tanks, chemical tanks or filter tanks.

Fortunately, stainless steel tank construction can meet most requirements, because stainless steel tanks have many good properties. Stainless steel tanks are durable, low-maintenance, temperature-resistant, corrosion-resistant, very hygienic, conductive, which is especially useful for cooling or heating. In addition, stainless steel is suitable for welded construction, pipeline construction and is of course often used in apparatus and machine construction, where welding is also used. Stainless steel is also frequently used in tank construction, for storage tanks and in tank plant construction.

Large containers are available, for example, as plastic containers and round containers for the transport or storage of bulk goods.

In container construction Germany there are various companies and container construction manufacturers that have specialized in the field of steel construction. For example, they manufacture heat exchangers and tanks with agitators as well as other vessels and apparatus made of stainless steel, for example storage tanks and double-walled containers, and they manufacture silo systems and tanks for boiler construction, often requiring special designs.
